How to Perform a Firmware Rollback (Davicom Cortex 360)

The new generation Davicom Cortex 360 units from Davicom are virtually “unbrickable” because the Davicom Cortex firmware can be re-installed from a USB image file.

The Davicom Cortex 360 also offers stress-free firmware upgrades. The dual-firmware memory slots allow users to roll back to the previous firmware version in case the upgrade creates problems with the current I/O configuration. Performing a firmware rollback recuperates the previous I/O configuration associated with the previous firmware version.

To perform a firmware rollback (Load Previous):

Connect to the Davicom Cortex 360 unit with a browser (Chrome recommended).

Go to System > Administration.

Click the Load Previous button.

The unit will reload the previous firmware version and its associated I/O configuration.

The unit will then reboot and start up with the previous configuration.

NOTE: The Load Previous procedure can also be done using front-panel buttons (refer to steps 1 to 5 from this article).
